Method for measuring coating toughness of circuit board

Publish Time:

1. The bending method was used to plate bright nickel and multilayer nickel-iron alloys on each of the two stainless steel sheets for 40 minutes each. The coating was peeled off and the artificial bending and folding test was performed. The bright nickel plating was broken after one bend, and the multilayer nickel-iron alloy coating was repeatedly bent without breaking , Indicating that the toughness of multilayer nickel iron is better than bright nickel.

2. The coiling method was used to plate a layer of bright nickel-iron alloy and bright nickel on a copper sheet of 10mm × 100mm × 0.2mm for 40min, and then rolled on a round rod of Φ6mm into a spiral shape, and then restored to the original shape, and found that cracks appeared on the edges of the bright nickel layer The nickel-iron alloy coating has no cracks, indicating that the toughness of the nickel-iron alloy coating is better than that of bright nickel.

3. Corrosion paste method: Nickel-iron alloy and bright nickel of the same thickness are plated on 96mm × 75mm × 0.5mm iron plates, and then a layer of chromium is plated and folded on a △ model to a certain angle. Then, the corrosion paste test is performed for 20 hours. The nickel layer showed severe rusting, while the nickel-iron alloy had slight rusting. The surface bright nickel layer has poor toughness, and there are brittle cracks that are not visible to the naked eye after stress deformation.

4. Post-plating modification processing The multi-layer nickel-iron alloy plated for 30 minutes and the chromium-plated product for 5 minutes are beaten with a hammer. No peeling indicates good toughness.
