Common PCB Circuit Diagrams Mainly Include Four Types

Publish Time:

Common PCB circuit diagrams mainly include four types: schematic diagram, block diagram, assembly diagram and printed board diagram.

(1) Schematic diagram: It is also called "electrical schematic diagram". This kind of diagram directly reflects the structure and working principle of electronic circuits, so it is generally used in designing and analyzing circuits. When analyzing the circuit, you can understand the principle of the actual circuit operation by identifying the various circuit component symbols drawn on the drawing and the connection between them. The schematic diagram is a tool used to reflect the working principle of electronic circuits. .

(2) Block diagram: A block diagram is a circuit diagram showing the working principle and composition overview of a circuit with blocks and wires. Fundamentally speaking, this is also a kind of schematic diagram, but in this kind of drawing, there are almost no other symbols except the box and the connection line. The main difference between it and the above schematic diagram is that the schematic diagram draws all the components of the circuit and their connection methods in detail, while the block diagram simply divides the circuit into several parts according to the function, depicting each part in a box, add a simple text description to the box, and use a connection (sometimes with an arrow) to explain the relationship between the boxes. Therefore, the block diagram can only be used to reflect the general working principle of the circuit, and the schematic diagram can be used as a basis for collecting components and making circuits in addition to showing the working principle of the circuit in detail.

(3) Assembly drawing: It is a kind of drawing used for circuit assembly, and the symbols on the drawing are often the physical appearance of circuit components. We can complete the assembly of the circuit as long as we connect some circuit components together according to the assembly drawing. This circuit diagram is generally for beginners. The assembly drawing varies according to the assembly template. Most of the occasions used as electronic products are printed circuit boards to be introduced below, so printed circuit board drawings are the main form of assembly drawings. In the beginning of electronic knowledge, in order to be able to access electronic technology earlier, we chose the screw hole plate as the basic installation template, so the installation diagram has become another mode.

(4) Printed circuit board drawing: It is actually the same type of circuit drawing as the assembly drawing, and they are used for the assembly of the actual circuit. The printed circuit board is covered with a layer of metal foil on an insulating board, and then the metal foil that is not needed for the circuit is corroded away, and the remaining part of the metal foil is used as the connection line between the circuit components, and then install the components in the circuit on this insulating board, using the remaining metal foil on the board as a conductive connection between components to complete the circuit connection. Because the metal covered on one or both sides of this circuit board is copper, the printed circuit board is also called "copper clad board".

The component distribution of printed circuit board drawings is often quite different from the schematic diagram. This is mainly because, in the design of printed circuit boards, it is mainly considered whether the distribution and connection of all components are reasonable. It is necessary to consider many factors such as component volume, heat dissipation, anti-interference, anti-coupling, etc. The printed circuit board designed based on these factors is difficult to be completely consistent with the schematic diagram from the outside. But in fact, it can better achieve the function of the circuit. With the development of science and technology, the manufacturing technology of printed circuit boards has been greatly developed; in addition to single panels and double panels, there are multiple panels, which have been widely used in daily life, industrial production, national defense construction, aerospace, etc. field. In the four forms of circuit diagrams introduced above, electrical schematic diagrams are the most commonly used and most important. Being able to understand the schematic diagram will basically grasp the principle of the circuit. Drawing a block diagram, designing the assembly diagram or printed board diagrama will be relatively easy. It is also very convenient to master the schematic diagram and carry out maintenance, design of electrical appliances. Therefore, the key is to master the schematic.
