What Documents Are Generally Required For Printed Circuit Board Assembly(PCBA) And Processing?
PCBA circuit board refers to the circuit board with electronic components after the PCB board is SMT patched. Its printed circuit board assembly and processing has a complete set of processes, including PCB board, electronic component purchase, SMT patch processing, DIP plug-in processing, testing, assembly, etc. In the early days, some customers did not know what information to provide to the electronic manufacturing services company. So, what do customers generally need to prepare when providing production materials for printed circuit board assembly to OEM electronic manufacturing service companies?
1. PCB Gerber file (a layered file, the file generally contains information such as each layer of circuit, pad layer, solder mask layer, silk screen layer and stencil layer, which is used to manufacture PCB bare boards, so the factory needs to use Gerber file to open the stencil and make the patch program, then these layers are required.)
2. The BOM is a list of all the parts that will be populated on the board. (Bill of Material, that is, the list of electronic components, including the model, brand, description, tag number and consumption information of the components).
3. SMD coordinate file (exported from PCB design software to define the coordinate position of each component on the PCB board, which is convenient for SMT placement machine to read and execute), the extension needs to be txt or Excel format; the unit is metric , mm (mm) is used by default, and the origin of the PCB board needs to be included. The origin is generally designed in the lower left corner.
4. The bitmap is the pad and silk screen layer of the exported PCB file in the R&D software. The factory is used to check whether the SMT material placement position is correct.
5. The host computer software (generally refers to the software installed on the computer to start the detection of the function items of the PCBA circuit board)
6. MCU program (generally refers to the chip program programmed into the MCU, the encrypted file in hex or bin format, used to drive the logic operation and bypass control of the entire PCBA circuit board)
7. Test files (defining the distribution of test points, test steps and common fault diagnosis methods for functional tests)
8. Other design documents (such as CAD drawings that define the effect diagram after welding, schematic diagram of PCB circuit board, special requirements of engineering I art, etc.).
The above 8 kinds of materials are generally required for the assembly and processing of printed circuit boards, but BOM and Gerber are necessities and must be provided during the assembly process. As a professional electronic manufacturing service company, TECOO has a professional printed circuit board assembly and manufacturing team, which can formulate the most complete one-stop printed circuit board assembly solution for your products, and speed up product listing on the premise of ensuring product quality time.
